The Graduate Management Admission Test or GMAT as it is popularly called is a computer format test meant to test the mathematical, verbal and analytical writing skills of the person taking the test. A GMAT test is basically divided into the following sections: Analytical Writing Assessment, Quantitative Section and the Verbal Ability.

Top B-Schools (Business Schools) use the test scores as one of the selection criterions for admission into their graduate programs.
